On May 22nd, Doctor Zhang Yuyan of Missouri University, director of international exchange center's China program, visited the Literature and Journalism School of SDU. Prof. Zheng Chun, the dean of the Literature and Journalism School, met with the guest. During the meeting, Zheng extended his welcome to the guest on behalf of school and briefed doctor Zhang on the history and recent developments of LJS. Zheng stated that the visit was an opportunity to combine the positive characteristics of the two sides. Zheng also discussed with the guest about the deeper and wider cooperation on teaching, scientific research, student education, and discipline construction in the future. Assistant dean Liu Yuetan and associate professor Kong Lingshun attended the meeting.

In the afternoon, Doctor Zhang Yuyan gave a lecture on Media integration. During the report, Doctor Zhang has brought his latest research results and described the new trend of development of media fusion. He introduced five development trends in media integration by a lot of videos, pictures, chart lists and vivid examples. The lecture lasted more than 2 hours. Doctor Zhang also conducted interactions with teachers and answered the questions raised by students.
