On the morning of May 10th, Professor Dong Tiance gave a wonderful lecture on “the Game between Journalism and PR(Public Relations)—the Interaction between Responder and Reporter in Crisis Communication”, hosted by Professor Liu Yuetan of LJS(Literature and Journalism School ).

At the beginning of the lecture, Professor Liu extended his welcome to Professor Dong Tiance on behalf of the School and introduced the basic situation of Professor Dong.

Professor Dong Tiance showed his research about Crisis Communication from four aspects: the report of the unexpected events, the interaction between crisis communication main body, the existing problems of crisis communication and the related theories.Then Professor Dong introduced three kinds of main body of crisis communication: government or business, media and public.After that, Professor Dong emphatically explained the problems existing in crisis communication and solution. Finally, Professor Dong re-examined four problems on crisis communication.

Professor Dong impressed audience with his profound knowledge and sharp insight. After the report delivered by Professor Dong, participants of the seminar, most of whom were graduate students from the School of Literature and Journalism, showed great interest in this topic and expressed their opinions and questions. Professor Dong listened carefully and answered thoroughly all the questions. The atmosphere of lecture was active, all the students and teachers appreciated Professor Dong’s wonderful lecture very much.
