After winning the 2012 Nobel Prize in Literature, Mo Yan will leave for Sweden to accept the award. Just before his leaving, Zheng Chun, the dean of LJS, visited him with the best wishes and great congratulations from the whole Shandong University. During talking, Mo Yan was very glad to write an inscription for LJS, as the way to express his wish and expect.

Zheng Chun first sincerely congratulated Mo Yan for his winning the award on behalf of all the teachers and students of LJS. Then he thanked him for his support and help as a part-time professor and research supervisor, especially the hard working in the education of postgraduate. Zheng Chun introduced the seminar of Mo Yan’s literature creation held in LJS days ago, and talked about the excitement and pleasure spreading in Shandong University after his winning. Mo Yan thanked for all the concerning and wishes. He said that he has already seen the congratulations and related information from Shandong University and LJS at the very beginning, and thought them very sincere. He retrospected his young life in Shandong University as well as the cooperation with LJS, then told something about the winning and the following plans. Both sides talked things over the following cooperation. Finally the preliminary project on recruiting postgraduates together, the arranging for Mo Yan’s lessons, and the plan to foster students was formed.

Before parting, Zheng Chun wished Mo Yan a good trip. Mo Yan writed an inscription for LJS which says “inherit tradition, create another glory”. Guan Moxian, Mo Yan’s brother, the former vice-president of the first middle school of Gaomi and Mao Weijie, the curator of Mo Yan Literature Museum and Zhang Shuai, the deputy secretary of LJS joined together.
