Li Jianjun, executive deputy secretary of the party committee of Shandong University (SDU), came to room 706 in Zhixin Building and held a cordial talk with the new leading groups of the Literature and Journalism School (LJS) on Dec.18th. Wang Bingxue, vice director of SDU party committee organization department, together with the new leading groups attended this forum.

Li spoke highly of the outstanding achievements of LJS in recent years, highly appreciated the fruitful work made by the former leading groups. He introduced the adjustment programs of LJS briefly and on behalf of SDU, he expressed his thanks to Wang Yongge, the retiring director of the school office. After that, Li put forward four points of hopes and demands: First, set new goals and realize new developments. We should not only inherit the tradition but also create greater achievement. Second, regard the disciplinary construction as a top priority, and strengthen the construction of teachers.

Third, uphold and improve the various well-established rules and regulations. At last, he called on all members to strengthen unity and cooperation, and called for joint efforts to build a better LJS. He also encouraged the new leading groups to get adapted to the new environment as soon as possible, so that greater contributions can be made to the development of school.

Zheng Chun, dean of LJS, made a speech on behalf of the new leading groups. He expressed his gratitude for the school's concerns and supports, and sincere welcome to the new secretary. Then, he determined to work hard to build SDU a world-class university. Wang Desheng, the new secretary, alsomade up his mindto work hard to promote the school's development. Other teachers also expressed their determinations to better perform their duty in the coming year.
