July 22, the 2012 China Communication Annual Meeting sponsored by China Communication Institute, Jinan Municipal party committee propaganda department and Literature and Journalism School (LJS ) was held in Shandong University. About 80 experts and scholars who are from Fudan university, Beijing university, Renmin university, Tsinghua university, the Chinese media university, the Chinese university of Hong Kong and Shandong university and Jinan municipal party committee propaganda department leadership attended this conference. Opening ceremony was presided by Zheng Chun.

Zhang Yongbing, vice President of Shandong University(SDU) also attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. In his speech, on behalf of SDU, he firstly expressed great congratulations for the success of the conference and gave a warm welcome to the domestic and foreign scholars. Then he introduced the history and new teaching achievement of SDU and LJS, and showed the great desire to strengthen the communication and cooperation with all scholars and all sectors both home and abroad. Then the conference was followed by panel discussions focused on the theme of City ·Culture· Communication.Whether the meeting topic features a panel or a single presenter, each meeting provides discussion time for attendees to raise questions, get answers, and to share the variety of experiences.

China Communication Annual Meeting is the most important academic conference in domestic communication discipline. As one of the sponsors, Literature and Journalism School actively participated in the organization work. During the meeting, the experts from home and abroad met with teachers of LJS for friendly exchange of performing skills and experience.
