On the afternoon of June 24th, 2013 graduation ceremony of Literature and Journalism School (LJS) was held at Siyuan Lecture Hall in Center Campus. Tenured Professor Zeng FanRen who is the director of literary and aesthetic research center, Professor Chen Yan who is the vice-president of Shandong university, Professor Zheng Chun who is the dean of the Literature and Journalism School, Professor Liao Qun who is the vice president of the Literature and Journalism School, Professor Huang Wanhua and Professor Wang Xiaoshu who are teachers' representatives, all members of the leadership, and 337 doctoral, graduate and undergraduate students attended the ceremony. Wang Desheng, Secretary of the Party Committee of LJS, presided over the ceremony.

At the ceremony, Zheng Chun expressed his warmest congratulations to all graduates on behalf of the School of Literature and Journalism. He focused on the theme of “let's cherish” and gave high expectation to the graduates. He said that since 1930, more than ten thousand students have been trained by Literature and Journalism School. He told the students at this special moment, everybody should cherish our school, cherish this period of time, appreciate and never forget alma mater, schoolmates and teachers, and treasure the good reputation of Shandong University both at home and abroad. At last , he said LJS will be always warm us and support us as a spiritual home and wherever you are, LJS will always be your home.

Then professor Huang Wanhua addressed on behalf of the teachers .He exchanged his views cordially with students. And student Ji Ying gave an address on behalf of all the graduates. She expressed heartfelt thanks and respects to LJS and teachers. And all the graduates pledged to stand steadfast on their faith as members of SDU in the future to write story of SDU.

Subsequently, Professor Liao Qun read out the " the decision on awarding the degrees to 2013 graduates". At last, Prof. Zeng FanRen, Prof. Chen Yan and Dean Zheng Chun awarded the diploma to every graduate and took photos with them.
