Military training for new students is under way prosperously. After the trial of hot weather, the cool winds have never slacked up the students’ enthusiasm on the military training. Recently, Fang Hongjian , deputy party secretary of SDU(Shandong University), and Qu Mingjun ,study department minister, assistant dean of undergraduate school, came to LJS’s (Literature and Journalism School) training field in succession. They watched the students’ queue chorus performance and communicated with some students genially.

The military training includes Easing, standing at attention, straddle standing, quick stepping, goose-stepping and running. Despite the tedium and painstaking, the students’ distinct and resounding slogan, orderly and standard motion and high-spirited visage show the training enthusiasm and well comprehensive quality of our school’s students. In the performance of the third battalion’ military drill, the students’ serious attitude, decorous soldier’s bearing and discipline and orderly troops made them get extensive favorable reports. In the later Internal Affairs appraisal, our school’s tidy dormitories were impressive. No matter our school’s leaders, counselors or the platoon leaders showed their praise to the students’ training performance. They hoped the students keep up the good work and dare to be the first.

Our school cooperates actively and pays high attention to the military work, devoting to the work of new students entrance education and study life guarantee. In the evening of the 11th September, the class meeting themed “new friends·heart friends” was held in the 1206 room of the teaching building. The meeting was hosted by the new students’ counselor Fang fang and Chen Fubo. All the 2012th students interacted with others sincerely in the vivid group activities of the meeting. The meeting enhanced understanding and communication among students and created warm and cordial class atmosphere.

At this moment, the new students of our school are scattering sweat on the stadium of Xinglong Hill campus. They are well trained and ready to be paraded. The students must become qualified university students gradually after the discipline of the military training. They will stand on a higher starting point and begin their new journeys.
